Why Do Escape Rooms Make Great Corporate Events?

Lots of reasons. Players not only have fun in the heat of the game—there's something about every time you hear a padlock click open, or the rush you get when you discover a clue —but also afterwards when you debrief with your teammates on the experience.

Why are Escape Rooms Great for Corporate Team Building?

Well, instead of one large group where people may not feel comfortable taking the lead, we split you up into smaller groups of 10-12. This is ideal for getting to know co-workers better, and allowing everyone to play a significant role in the experience. These smaller groups will then be assigned a room to escape, and will work together to solve problems, uncover clues, and crack codes in order to progress through the room as a team. Teamwork and communication are critical to success, just as they are in the workplace.

Our games are challenging and very mentally stimulating, but don’t require physical exertion. Each room has a theme with a storyline, so the atmosphere is immersive – unlike traditional team building activities. Plus, it only takes one hour to complete.

What Types of Companies Will Enjoy Escape Rooms?

Any and all types of organizations enjoy escape rooms for corporate outings. We have hosted team building events for companies as large and diverse as Johnson & Johnson, GE, and Mercedes Benz (all of which are returning clients) as well as small businesses from an array of industries.

What Does Mastermind Offer Corporate Clients?

Corporate groups have the opportunity to maximize efficiency in the workplace through our team building program. By placing employees in a high-pressure environment where they must rely on each other to succeed, the result is a cohesive team who works together more effectively.

We offer corporate clients special rates depending on the size of your group.

The Science of Synergy

Mastermind Escape Games offers the ultimate team building experience. Our escape rooms are perfect for corporate outings and can enhance synergy in the workplace. How? A study from MIT offers valuable insight into the science of synergy:

Whether moving a football downfield, completing projects effectively in the workplace, or solving puzzles to escape a room, great teammates are also great collaborators. The single most important factor in a team's success is communication. But does the manner of communication matter more than what is said? An MIT study revealed effective teams communicate face-to-face, directly between team members (instead of using a team leader as a go-between), with each member of the team talking and listening equally. Regular, informal side conversations among members are also productive.

The study also found, the more people know their specific roles—and help others carry out their own—the more successful the squad becomes. Putting strangers together on a team leads to more varied, creative approaches.

So how does this relate to Mastermind? When you escape one of our rooms, you'll find that this kind of communication is what happens naturally within your group. Different team members will step up to lead at different times, and everyone will work together to find solutions. There’s no better way to get co workers collaborating and interacting outside of the workplace than our escape games!
